Postling's Top 5 Moments of 2010
postling:
It’s becoming apparent very quickly to us that the year of 2010 is almost over. Can today really be December 31st? This isn’t a lie? Okay, well in that case… we thought it’d be nice to take a trip down memory lane and count down the top 5 moments of 2010 for the Postling team. Forgive us for indulging in clichés and a little year-end nostalgia…. we tend to get emotional this time of...

I watched 86 movies that were released in 2010
Typically, at this time of the year, I am writing my “top 10” posts and curating a list of where my favorite movies of the year fell. This year, while I think I saw more movies than previous years, I’ve slacked on the movies I’ve really wanted to see. To compound things more, I don’t feel right making a “top 10” list without at least watching most of...

FRAMES!
It’s interesting to think about all that is put into the average film’s website now in comparison to what was put into this beast.
Also, will today’s websites look this dated 15 years from now?

What's the best pizza you've ever had?
Each year on New Year’s Eve, members of my family compete individually in a pizza bake-off. The winner gets bragging rights for the year and everyone eats lots of pizza in the process (basically it’s win/win). There aren’t any limits to what type of pizza we can make nor are there limits on the type of crust we can use.
This year I’m stuck on ideas, so what’s the...

Random question of the day.
inmi:
You’re building a house and you get to make it your absolute dream house. That means whatever you say goes, and somehow, your construction budget has no limits (pffft. Like THAT ever happens, except in hypotheticals).
What is the first MUST HAVE that pops into your head? The one thing your house would not be complete without?
Reblogging to see what answers you guys have for this.

How to make your Tumblr notes reappear on older...
As you may have noticed, many older posts are now missing notes (likes, reblogs, replies) when viewing them by their direct URL. While I had earlier pondered whether they were lost forever or turned off after so many days, it looks like there’s no an answer.
Thanks to help from Kevin Burg, we were able to figure out that notes are apparently disabled after not receiving a like, a reblog or...

Are Tumblr notes on older posts completely lost or...
If they’re all lost or they automatically get turned off after a certain period of time, maybe there’s little point in having them at all in an external sense?
EDIT: This isn’t for dashboard notifications, but for external notifications via your actual blog URL displayed via your theme.

This explains those noms, I guess,
Wafting over the red carpets this awards season, amid the expensive cologne and forced smiles: a dubious whiff of scandal. The Golden Globes, supposedly Hollywood’s second most prestigious awards event after the Oscars, is finding its often-criticised voting process at the centre of unwelcome controversy.
At issue is a decision by members of the...

I am extremely proud to announce that version 3 of Forrst has officially launched today. It is the culmination of more than three months of hard work and almost a year of learnings, not to mention the hundreds (if not thousands) of emails and posts from our community filled with suggestions,…
I am so proud of this.

How I Use Postling
jesseddy:
Alexis over at Postling inspired me to start thinking about how I use Postling…this is the result! 11 services and 3 brands - all under 1 roof. (And this is just the tip of the iceberg).
This is actually really cool.

A few thoughts on the Golden Globes
At this point, the Golden Globes are a lot like track and field in middle school. They’re the “participation” medal for any film who doesn’t stand a chance of even getting an Oscar nod.
Is it just me or are the Globes one “Best Kiss” category away from being the MTV Movie Awards?
The Tourist is neither a musical or a comedy (or anywhere near a good movie)...

10% Unemployment, Yet Every Startup in NYC is...
evangotlib:
stevewoolf:
Unemployment stands at just under 10%, and even more striking, amongst college graduates it’s 5%, the highest level since 1970, when records began to be kept. (So it’s potentially the highest level since even further back.) Despite all this unemployment, every startup I know needs to hire not only engineers, but also sales and operations team members. And this is not...

pnotrn asked: You can expect the five stages of grief, but they pass fairly quick. I went through mine in about a day - day and a half.
It starts with denial. You keep telling yourself it didn't happen. Then you get mad at God, because you had a deal. Getting older would not happen to you. The bargaining comes next. You promise God that you will never use Tumblr again, if he promises to keep...

SO TRUE! And I’m one of the liberal who says it was worth watching up to the wedding in Season 5. But now they’ve tried to morph Micheal Scott from the bumbling idiot who is still worth befriending to the idiot asshole who too frequently somehow understands the realities of life (that is, NOT HIS CHARACTER AT ALL). And now that...
